Cave Creek was settled in 1870 by soldiers on horseback from Fort McDowell. In 1873, prospectors from the Bradshaw Mountains found gold in the town. The town is named for the cave next to the creek the town was founded on. One of the last truly western towns in Arizona.

The impressive and beautiful Sonoran Desert Preserve and Black Mountain Trail is just a short distance away and offers hikers and nature lovers a refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life. Flora and fauna abound in the untouched preserve, making perfect photography and blogging opportunities. Seven trailheads are easily accessible from the park and offer difficulty levels from novice to pro hiker. We are also close to Rnacho Manana Golf Course, and numerous other opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors.
